“Tennessee’s Response to Abuse of Vulnerable Adults

Legislative Mandated Elder Abuse Task Force: Findings, Recommendations, Legislation and Next Steps”

Presented by: Laura Brown, Esq., who serves as the General Counsel and State Legal Assistance Developer for the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability.  Join us to learn about what Tennessee is doing in response to the increasing incidence of abuse of vulnerable adults.  The Tennessee General Assembly has appointed two Elder Abuse Task Forces in the past 3 years to discuss abuse   issues facing older and disabled adults in Tennessee.  This presentation will  cover, in detail, the Task Force finding and recommendations.  This effort has been led by the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability, with the lead staff person being Laura E. Brown, Esq.
